The IDEAlliance G7 Masters qualiication program identifies those printing companies, prepress service providers and agencies who have been trained to use the G7 Proof to Print Process and can produce proofs or can print to G7 specifications. The G7 Masters qualification means that the company uses the most modern technology, techniques, proofing and press controls, and standards required to produce a close visual match from proof to print.

IDEAlliance began to certify consultants and industry professionals in the new G7 Proot to Print Process control methods in early 2006. The G7 methodolgy is revolutionary because it is the first specification designed to efficiently match the visual appearance of multiple devices by defining gray balance in conjunction with the traditional method of measuring TVI for each color. Print buyers have been instrumental in promoting G7 by making G7 a new criterion for purchasing print.
